Things have been a bit quiet around here as we've taken time off to enjoy family. Suni gathered with family and friends to celebrate a sister's wedding and we took off for two much needed weeks of rest and relaxation.
Two weeks? What were we thinking?!!
Lately, Kevin and I have really felt the tick, tick, tick of the proverbial clock reminding us how little time is left for our family unit. This fall we lose our oldest to college. We are trying to prepare ourselves for this fact. but the thought leaves us a bit unsettled.
We have wanted to take the kids to New York for the longest time. For years, they were too little. Then sporting activities consumed our lives. Just as we thought we might be able to pull things off, life kicked into high gear.
No more EXCUSES!
After two rather long, extremely hot and unbelievable humid weeks of hauling our brood around the island of Manhattan and western New York we are finally ready for our oldest to leave home and experience life on his own. Only now we're kinda' hoping he'll take his two brothers with him!
The best part about family vacations are ALL the stories that you have to tell!
Stay tuned...
Here's our last day as tourists. Don't we look the part? By the time this picture was snapped, we had trekked from one end of the state to the other.

Oh I am sure they will remember the trip forever. It is great that you were able to make time to go before college life started. I am glad you had a great time. Now go rest those feet. ha ha
I'm definitely staying tuned! You always have the most entertaining stories. Can't wait to hear what your boys did this vacation:)!
